This journey explores the remote landscapes of northeastern Mongolia, where vast steppe, wetlands, rivers, and taiga-edge forests create a rich diversity of habitats. The route is designed to maximize bird diversity, targeting cranes, waterbirds, the Great Bustard, raptors, and forest specialists. Gun Galuut Nature Reserve

Drive east: ~135 km (3–4 hrs) Gun-Galuut Nature Reserve is one of Mongolia's best birdwatching destinations, featuring wetlands, rivers, and steppe habitats that attract a wide variety of bird species.
