Welcome to Mongolia! Upon arrival at Chinggis Khaan International Airport, your guide will meet you and transfer you to your hotel in Ulaanbaatar. Depending on your arrival time, enjoy a short orientation of the city or relax after your flight. In the evening, attend an optional traditional cultural performance featuring throat singing, contortion, folk dance, and morin khuur (horsehead fiddle). Ulaanbaatar → Baga Gazriin Chuluu

Baga Gazriin Chuluu is a striking granite mountain formation rising from the vast plains of central Mongolia. Baga Gazriin Chuluu → Tsagaan Suvarga (White Stupa)

Travel south into the vast Gobi region. Arrive at Tsagaan Suvarga, a spectacular series of colorful limestone cliffs shaped by millions of years of erosion. Yolyn Am → Khongor Sand Dunes

Drive: 180 km (3–4 hrs)

Journey west across the Gobi to Khongoryn Els, Mongolia's largest and most famous sand dunes. Stretching over 100 km, these dunes are known as the "Singing Dunes" because of the sounds produced by shifting sand. Khongor Sand Dunes → Bayanzag (Flaming Cliffs)

Ongi Monastery → Ulaantsutgalan Waterfall

Drive: 300 km (5–6 hrs)

Ulaantsutgalan Waterfall is the largest and most famous waterfall in Mongolia, plunging about 20 meters into a volcanic canyon. Located in the scenic Orkhon Valley, the waterfall is surrounded by dramatic basalt cliffs, rolling grasslands, and nomadic pastures. It is a popular destination for hiking, photography, and enjoying the natural beauty of central Mongolia. Ulaantsutgalan Waterfall → Tuvkhun Monastery → Kharkhorum

Drive: 180 km (4–5 hrs)

After breakfast, depart from Ulaantsutgalan Waterfall and drive through the scenic forested valleys and volcanic landscapes of central Mongolia toward Tuvkhun Monastery. Founded in 1653 by the first Bogd Zanabazar, Tuvkhun is one of Mongolia’s most important spiritual sites, perched on a mountain ridge overlooking forests and rolling hills. Enjoy a hike to the monastery and explore its temples, meditation caves, and panoramic viewpoints. After lunch, continue the journey to the ancient capital of Kharkhorum....

Kharkhorum → Ugii Lake

Drive: 80 km (1.5–2 hrs)

After breakfast, visit the historic town of Kharkhorum and, if time permits, explore the nearby Erdene Zuu Monastery and local museum. Depart Kharkhorum and drive north across the rolling steppe landscapes of central Mongolia toward Ugii Lake. Arrive at Ugii Lake in the afternoon. This freshwater lake is an important wetland habitat and a key stopover site for migratory birds....

Ugii Lake → Khustai National Park

Drive: 280 km (4.5–5 hrs)

Khustai National Park → Chinggis Khan Equestrian Statue Complex → Terelj National Park
