Arrival in Ulaanbaatar
Drive: 52 km (1.5–2 hrs)
Welcome to Mongolia! Upon arrival at Chinggis Khaan International Airport, your guide will meet you and transfer you to your hotel in Ulaanbaatar. Depending on your arrival time, enjoy a short orientation of the city or relax after your flight. In the evening, attend an optional traditional cultural performance featuring throat singing, contortion, folk dance, and morin khuur (horsehead fiddle). Ulaanbaatar → Elsen Tasarkhai Semi-Desert & Khogno Khan Nature Reserve
Drive: 280 km (4.5–5 hrs)
Travel west through the vast Mongolian steppe to Elsen Tasarkhai, known as the "Mini Gobi." Located within Khogno Khan Nature Reserve, the area offers a unique combination of sand dunes, mountains, forests, and grasslands. Elsen Tasarkhai → Ulaantsutgalan Waterfall
Drive: 205 km (4–5 hrs)
Ulaantsutgalan Waterfall is the largest and most famous waterfall in Mongolia, plunging about 20 meters into a volcanic canyon. Located in the scenic Orkhon Valley, the waterfall is surrounded by dramatic basalt cliffs, rolling grasslands, and nomadic pastures. It is a popular destination for hiking, photography, and enjoying the natural beauty of central Mongolia. Ulaantsutgalan Waterfall → Tuvkhun Monastery → Kharkhorum
Drive: 150 km (4–6 hrs)

Kharkhorum → Ugii Lake
Drive: 80 km (1.5–2 hrs)
Begin the day with a visit to Erdene Zuu Monastery before continuing to Ugii Lake, one of Mongolia's most important wetlands and birdwatching sites. Ugii Lake is a beautiful freshwater lake renowned for its rich birdlife and peaceful natural surroundings. A popular destination for birdwatching and nature lovers, the lake attracts numerous migratory waterbirds and offers excellent opportunities for wildlife observation, photography, and enjoying the scenic landscapes of central Mongolia....

Ugii Lake → Khustai National Park
Drive: 280 km (4.5–5 hrs)

Khustai National Park → Ulaanbaatar
Drive: 100 km (1.5–2 hrs)
